The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has officially declared its CJP National Working Committee 2026. The list of members has been announced and includes Abhijeet Dipke as National Convener and two co-conveners with him. The announcement was made at a two-day core team meeting in Dipke’s hometown of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra.

It is the first formal CJP Leadership Line-up since the party was established in May. “To facilitate the implementation of our national roadmap, the National Working Committee 2026 has ratified our first national leadership roster”, CJP said in its official statement. The party also released a disclaimer stating that nobody other than the people listed has been given permission to speak for the party. It is also remarkable that this occurred at this time.

CJP has expanded swiftly since its inception only a few months ago, and is establishing its national leadership for the first time in its history with a formally named leadership group. Below is the complete CJP National Committee roster, based on the party’s official announcement:

CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke, who was a former volunteer of the Aam Aadmi Party, will lead the direction of the party at the national level. He has stated that the party does not want to be a political party but a pressure group as CJP National Convener.

Before CJP, Dipke worked on digital campaigns for the 2020 Delhi Assembly election and has served as an advisor to the Delhi government’s education department. That position was abandoned in 2023 for overseas study, and then CJP started this year.

Saurav Das, Co-Convener, and Ashutosh Ranka, Co-Convener, will help Dipke with the day-to-day work. Das was CJP’s chief spokesperson earlier, and Ranka publicised the group’s activities during the Jantar Mantar protests.

The top three are complemented with a carefully-balanced variety of job functions. A dedicated lead in each of the core areas of legal affairs, research and policy, technology, media and finance indicates that CJP is developing departments that are common in more mature political organisations.

The Cockroach Janta Party Leadership has also decided on the zonal duties in North, South, East and North East and West India. This is a zonal organisation which will assist the CJP National Team in coordinating more quickly at the regional level.

North zone will be headed by Deepak Baliyan, who will also serve as an organiser, and Vijay Reddy Mallangi will be handling South zone and media. Yogesh Ingale is the lead person for West zone as well as finance, while Ankit Bhardwaj is the person who is responsible for East and North East zone.

The dual structure of the zonal leads who also have a functional portfolio indicates that CJP is maintaining a lean core team, while expanding its geographic presence across the country.

CJP also stated through its official website that it is organizing a CJP Membership Drive along with the announcement of the leadership. Students, young professionals, and workers will have the opportunity to give without fundraisers.

Ranka has said CJP wants people to be aware that the organisation is not collecting funds through this drive. He pointed out that he has received from many supporters questions whether CJP would ever get registered as a political party, but so far the leadership has not decided to do so.

The party also unveiled a CJP Kya Bolti Public Campaign, which will begin in September. The goal of the campaign is to get citizens involved and to raise awareness about local concerns, such as the lack of jobs and education.

Dipke has called the campaign a method to maintain the organisation’s focus on grassroots issues, rather than “just an old-style political party focused on elections”. At the press conference, party leaders agreed that for the time being, CJP will not become a formal political party. Rather, the CJP Organisation will turn to grassroots mobilisation & awareness creation.

CJP Latest News comes in the wake of the party’s dominating protests against the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. It’s the greatest victory in the students’ movement yet, according to Dipke.

CJP made national headlines when the Chief Justice of India referred to the youth as “cockroaches” who have no jobs. The Chief Justice of India’s use of the term “cockroaches” to describe the jobless youth brought widespread condemnation and criticism to the CJP. The party christened its name with the sentence, making it a rallying point for young Indians.

Ever since then, CJP has emerged as the voice of the students and job applicants, holding sit-ins and demanding attention from the government on everything from exam paper leaks to employment-related matters.

As part of its CJP Expansion Plan, the party said State Coordination Committees will be formed over the next six months. Other coordination units such as Lok Sabha and city level are also slated to follow in the same time.

A CJP team will also go to the agitating students in Jharkhand, after which top office-bearers will go there. This is an indication of the party’s commitment to student/youth driven issues in states. The CJP National Working Committee 2026 has now been established; an issue of faster on-ground presence of the party will be the focus. The next few months, especially the membership drive and the launch of the party’s September campaign, will probably be the next big indicators for the party’s development
