Which Paper Should You Check?
UTET is given in Two Papers; check the Key for the Paper in which you appeared. UTET I is designed for candidates who want to get teacher eligibility from Class 1 to Class 5 and UTET II is for candidates who want to get teacher eligibility from Class 6 to Class 8.
The candidates who appeared in both papers should download both keys, and check independently. UBSE has provided separate keys for four sets of question papers in each paper.
The key is determined by the set code that is written on your question booklet, so check before you start marking your answers. One of the easiest ways to have an incorrect score estimate is by checking the wrong set.

How Earlier UTET Answer Key Windows Worked
A look at earlier cycles helps set expectations for the objection stage. The table below summarises the objection deadlines reported in past years:
| Year | Reported Objection Deadline |
| UTET 2021 | 15 April 2021 |
| UTET 2023 | 19 October 2023 (objections were then sent by email) |
| UTET 2024 | 13 November 2024 (key reported on 28 October 2024) |
| UTET 2026 | 15 October 2026, 11:59 PM |
As the table shows, the method and the length of the window can change from one cycle to the next. That is why you should rely on the notice on the official website rather than on what worked for a friend in a previous year.
When Should You Raise an Objection?
Not every mismatch is worth challenging. Before you file, make sure your reason is solid:
- Answer provided in key is not in agreement with prescribed textbook.
- More than one answer or no answer to the question may be correct.
- The question or an option is printed incorrectly or is unclear in your paper.
- If your response is the same as the key in a different set, this means that you are reading the key from a different set.
How to Calculate Your Score Using the Answer Key
Answer the questions and tally the correct answers with the key provided to your question paper set and apply the marking scheme provided in the official notification of UTET. The key is a provisional one so your estimate may change if UBSE changes any of the answers.
What Happens After the Answer Key?
- UBSE subject experts review the objections received before 15 October 2026.
- A revised final answer key is prepared if any answer is changed.
- The UTET 2026 result and qualifying status are compiled on the basis of the final key.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Waiting till the last evening of the window when portal may be slow due to many candidates logging in at that time.
- Objections that don’t include any source, because they are very easy to vote down with just an objection.
- Taking provisional marks on final and making career or job decisions based on only provisional marks.
- Giving out the Registration Number and the Password to a third party that claims to “fix” the key or the result.
In Short
The UBSE UTET Answer key 2026 is available for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The provisional key was issued on 5 October 2026, the window for objections has closed on 15 October 2026 at 11:59 PM, and the final key and the results are yet to be announced.
If you suspect an error, do not wait until the last day. Download your key and file your objection through ubse.uk.gov.in in time.
