Why NEET PG 2026 Re-Exam Announced?
The re-examination was called off due to failure to complete the NEET PG test at the iON Digital Zone iDZ located in the Sitapura centres. The re-examination was announced as the NEET PG test was not completed at the iON Digital Zone iDZ centres in the TC Nos. 41682 and 41683, in Jaipur.
The notice said it was due to a power supply issue which was due to the conducting agency M/S TCS Ltd. The technical problem impacted those candidates who appeared at those centres. There was a lot of confusion at the examination venue due to disruption, and candidates were concerned after the examination was affected.
NBEMS thereafter, after review of the circumstances, concluded that it was necessary to have a separate examination for the affected candidates. The decision shall be taken to give those candidates another opportunity to undertake the entrance examination.
How Many Candidates Will Appear for the Re-Exam?
The re-examination will be held for 2,445 candidates, who were impacted by the disruption in Jaipur. These candidates had a wider rollout of NEET PG 2026 all over the country. The re-exam is thus not conducted for all the NEET PG aspirants but only for the candidates as per the decision of the examination authority.
NBEMS said that 2,73,096 candidates had been registered for the exam that was conducted on 30 August, and 2,65,980 candidates appeared in the exams across 1,111 examination centres across the country.
